Direwolf Spirithood // Lookbook

So a few months ago I received an email from Spirithoods saying that the Direwolf shawl was in stock. After hesitating about spending quite a lot of money on something so quickly for a total of one day, I ordered this beautiful hood from their website. Despite the fact that the shipping to France isn't the cheapest, and with all the import tax what hurt a bit, This accessory is so so perfect. My first reaction was to how soft it is. Not to forget how well made and luxurious it feels on. I do not regret one bit this purchase.

I paired this hood with this caged dress from and a black skirt I bought from ebay a while ago to make this outfit a bit less formal. Also I would like to thank Pablo Delacour for these photos !

My favourite cruelty free brands

Cruelty-free beauty products are the height of conversation in the blogging world at the moment, and as it should be! These poor animals shouldn't suffer from our consumption of makeup, especially when there are plenty of brands that don't harm any animals in the production of their products. Here is a list of my favourite cruelty-free cosmetic brands that I have tried myself. From high-end to drugstore brands, I've tested quite a few!

After trying Too Faced's Better than sex mascara a while back, I instantly fell in love with this brand. From their packaging design to the fact their scented eyeshadow, Too Faced pays attention to the details of their products. I'd say if you're looking for some perfect nude eye shadow palettes, give Too Faced a look!

As a teenager, I was obsessed with Kat Von D in LA Ink, and now in my twenties, I was thrilled to hear that she was releasing a completely cruelty-free make-up range. After waiting impatiently for the Europe release, I finally got my hands on the Lock-Its Foundation in the colour "44 LIGHT - COOL UNDERTONE" (for once I wasn't the palest colour of foundation!) I was hooked, This full coverage foundation is great for all day wear and will cover anything! I'm also a big fan of her Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks which I own in the colour Bow n' Arrow, it lasts all day even after eating!

I've only recently started using NYX make up as they're now starting selling it in France! I was surprised at how affordable they make up is so I went on a bit of a spree and tried quite a few things already. I'm especially impressed with their liquid lipsticks, in particular the Lingerie colours. I had been searching for a cruelty-free nude lipstick for a while so when I came across this range I fell in love! NYX is a perfect brand for anyone on a budget but still looking for some amazing cruelty-free products.

Another brand I'm obsessed with for their eye shadow products is Urban Decay, Whether you're looking for bold and bright colours, or something more subtle, This brand has what you need. Their super pigmented eye shadows are my go to for the perfect smoky eye. I'm also a big fan of their foundation and concealer for when I feel like treating myself to some high-end makeup.

I hope these recommendations are helpful and let me know what cruelty free brands I should try next! For a complete list of all cruelty free make up brands click here.

Witchy Vibes

I have always been a fan of dark and spooky photography, so last month I got to shoot with DASKA Photography and channeled my inner witch. I'm in love with my makeup (even if I do say so myself !) I did for these photos, I used my Naked Smoky palette from Urban Decay, along with a black Kajal eyeliner on the lips. Although after these photos I think I need to get my hands on Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the colour Witches!

Everything I'm wearing is from Shein, a black crisscross bodysuit underneath and a black lace beach dress over the top. I love how these looked together and although it's probably not suitable for everyday wear, It's perfect for Halloween !

Indoor Green House • Home Inspiration

I think in another life I was Mowgli from the Jungle Book, because my love of plants has kind of taken over my tiny apartment. The worst part is that I still don't think I have enough! So thanks to Pinterest I keep finding more and more cute ideas for turning my home into a forest. I would like to share some of my favourites with you!

Animation and Illustration

So as I mention in my description, as well as spending a lot of time online, I also enjoy drawing and animating! I studied graphic design for three years and then went on to two years of 2D and 3D animation. After realising that 3D really wasn't for me, I focused on traditional animation and motion design. Although I'm working more in graphic design currently, I still enjoy drawing and I wanted to share some of my most recent work with you!

Too Faced Chocolate Shop

After receiving this amazing Too Faced palette in advance this year, I had to make a post about it because i'm already in love with it. It is one of many gift sets that Too Faced release every year. After having the choice in between The Chocolate Shop or The Grand Hotel Cafe (which I love the Grande Budapest Hotel inspiration going on with this one), I went with the chocolate shop as I love all the colours (maybe even Mint chip and Jingle berry!), the mix of shimmers, mattes and metallics. In addition to this perfect colour scheme, these eyeshadows smell just as promised like chocolate! I thought it was a cute addition to this gift set.

This Palette also contains three minis, Better than sex mascara (my all time favourite), Melted liquid lipstick and Shadow insurance eyeshadow primer. I was excited to try the lipstick as I've been looking for a brown shade for a while (it's harder than you think), After only using the tiniest amount, it's very pigmented and it smells amazing!

So the colours! There are twenty one shades in this palette, along with a highlighter, bronzer and a blush. My personal favourites are Butterscotch, Honey Dip and Gingerdoodle (I'm a big fan of the brown shades ! )

Overall I'm in love with this boxset, it's cute and made a perfect present for Christmas. After testing the different colours for a few weeks, I've noticed how long lasting they are, even with the shimmers that have nearly no fall out at all. I highly recommend Too Faced boxsets for next Christmas for any makeup lovers out there !

My lush skin care Routine

When it comes to my skin care routine, Lush is a strong leader with the products I use. Back in summer 2015, my skin decided to break out in the worst way possible. Not being used to this as I usually suffer from really dry skin, I tried out every product from the supermarket possible. Surprise, surprise, the products that claim to remove all imperfections from your face within a few hours did nothing positive, if anything it irritated my skin even more. I even splashed out and went to sephora to buy their face cleansing kits and all new make up. Once again, none of this helped.

So one fine day while I was still living in Paris (another story for another day), I thought I'd give Lush a go. For those not familiar with Lush, it's an amazing shop where they sell fresh and handmade cosmetics, from face scrubs to foot creams they have it all. Also the fact that their products are vegan and cruelty free was a big selling point for me as well. After smelling all their skin products and talking to the lovely employees about what is best for me, I finally decided to try the Mask of Magnaminty. I used this two to three times a week and it calmed my skin so so much. Amazed by the results of just using the mask, I went back a few weeks later and bought a tub of Ocean Salt and Let The Good Times Roll, along with Grease Lightning spot treatment. After all these years of changing skin products every so many weeks, I've finally stuck with the same few products for over a year now, and I thought I should share them with you!

First things first, Ocean Salt face exfoliator is by far the best smelling product from Lush in my opinion. I love the smell and feeling it gives my skin just after using it, the mix of citrus and sea salt makes it feel like a summers day every day. Scrubbing my face with this after taking my makeup off (with coconut oil), makes my skin feel so clean and fresh. I usually use this twice a day with a tiny bit of product in the morning and evening. Definitely a gem.

I've used a few different skin cleansers from Lush in the past year, my favourites being Let The Good Times Roll, Angels On Bare Skin and now I've moved onto Herbalism which I'm starting to really love. The anti-inflammatory benefits of the rosemary have really made a difference to my skin. Lush is really great for their skin cleansers and I'm a big fan!

Being the first product I bought from Lush, I obviously have a weak spot for the Mask of Magnaminty. I've gone through three tubs of this product already (The large ones as well!). For me this mask really saved my skin after all the different products I used on my skin to try and calm it. I use this two to three times a week, maybe more if my skin gets bad.

Last but not least is Grease Lightning spot gel. When I heard that tea tree water/gel helped with redness and spots, I immediately looked at Lush for their tea tree products. I tried this and applied it to spots just before going to bed and noticed a pretty big difference the morning after. Ok, it's not the "magical" spot clearing gels that many other brands claim to be. But it definitely faded the redness and the size of the spot overnight. I use this every night after washing my face.

I hope this blog post is useful for anyone with the same problems as me, or just for anyone interested in getting started with Lush products! Let me know in the comments below what your favourite Lush products are!
